The title refers to Line 430 from Eliot's The Wasteland, "These fragments I have shored against my ruins". This is a truly Surrealist painting because (a) it missed the Surrealist Revolution by about 60 years, and (b) someone stole it from a gallery in Devon a couple of years ago.
